WIP Wednesday :: a new ripple blanket

Now that my charity squares are complete, I’ve started crocheting a new project – a custom ripple blanket. I’m sure the recipient won’t mind a quick peek :-)

Baby Girl Crochet Ripple

The colour palette is just lovely, perfect for a baby girl in tones of pink and taupe, to match some nursery linen. We did wonder whether to add the blue as well, but as the closest colour was quite bright I decided to leave it out.

The rows will be a mirror repeat of colour, with one row of cream between.

It’s hooking up nicely, now I’m just looking forward to it growing a bit bigger so that it can keep my legs warm.

Really pretty colours! I definitely have to make a ripple blanket too one day! They are so beautiful. Haven’t decided on the colours, though. There are just too many possibilities…

There sure are! That’s why I was happy I had to match the colours to some fabric – made it a bit easier to decide!

    Hi Bec,

I love your choice of colours, it’s amazing how well they go together! It’s going to be a stunning blanket, and will be lovely to snuggle up to!
    Happy crochet!

I think so too, that way if they ever want to swap the turqouise for green or yellow or any other colour it’s still going to match :-)
