Hello! I know it’s been too long between blog posts when WordPress asks for my password which I can never remember! But here I am…with a little ‘lately’ update…

The past few weeks have passed by in a bit of a blur with a fundraising fete and then my market stall to get ready for. I thoroughly enjoyed both – the preparations and also the days!

My stall on Easter Saturday at the Denmark Arts Markets was a lot of fun. I would’ve loved more photos but didn’t really get a chance to take any. My lovely hubby snapped this one just before the crowds arrived as I was finishing the set up – a beautiful shady spot under the autumn leaves:

It was nice to meet people, have a chat and get some feedback. And I’m happy lots of my handmade goodies have found new homes. The weather on the day was perfect which certainly helped. I do hope to be back there next year! I’m planning to list the remaining stock in my Etsy store next week, or you can come down to the Vancouver Street Festival, Albany on May 9th and see me there.

We enjoyed some camping over Easter, and also the week following. It was nice to get stuck into some of my own projects again. I’ll be sharing what I’ve been working on soon, if you can’t wait until then you’ll have to come have a look over on Instagram :-)

I celebrated a birthday somewhere in there too, and as a little pressie to myself I bought these balls of delicious baby Alpaca yarn.

Now to decide what to knit with it. Knitting weather has now well and truly returned, yay! The return of the rain here also means beautiful rainbows – like this one which appeared on the inlet just behind our camping spot, on our last day.

Did you know it’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow? We don’t particularly celebrate it in this household, and I hadn’t really given it a second thought until all of these ‘heart’ projects started popping up in my Pinterest feed!

Some were too cute not to share – and suitable to make year round, so here’s a roundup of 5 cute heart projects – a mix of yarn, fabric and paper craft.

5 friday finds hearts

one :: Granny Heart crochet pattern by Daisy Cottage Designs

two :: Little Patchwork Heart by Tasha Noel from A Little Sweetness

three :: DIY Fabric Heart Valentines from Flamingo Toes

four :: Origami Heart Shaped Page Marker from How About Orange

five :: Heart of Hope Dreamcatcher from Molly Moo Crafts

Happy Valentine’s Day! How great is the dreamcatcher, I think I’d like to give it a try :-)
